Anna Silver's new single 'Out My Mind' was released on the 17th of September and it's packed full of energy! Anna worked on this with Producer, Songwriter and Performer Ben Keating and the high energy themes are continued in the 'Out My Mind' music video. Filmed at the mind boggling Quirky Quarter in Liverpool, this project involved lots of collaborations from Adam Huges, Alex Quinn, Frimann, Stian V, Louis Jay, Rachel Graham, Jasmine Burke, Emily Smith, Martin Quinn and Alex Wilkinson.
The overarching message of this song is about loving someone so much you feel like you are going "out your mind", yet at the same time can't get enough and have to eventually break away. This is reflected in the music video, where we see Artist, Producer and Songwriter, Anna Silvers, having a bad day dream after Adam Hughes approaches to ask for her number. In the day dream Anna is chased and tormented by multiple versions of Adam, who she can't seem to escape from no matter where she turns. Following the day dream Anna refuses to give her number to Adam, but will she ever be able to escape the thoughts of him after this encounter?
Anna stated,
"I wanted the song to be fun and high energy! Therefore, I pitched the vocals up in the chorus to help achieve this and used a mixture of instruments. I then worked on adding extra flourishes to the song and solidifying everything with Ben Keating. I love working with Ben on my music as we have great fun and encourage each other to try new things, which I think really shines through in the music. He is so creative, just like everyone involved in the music video process too and I can't thank everyone involved in the project enough! I had an absolute blast! As always, I hope people take what they need from the song and that they also feel able to use the song as a release to dance and sing along to when they need to get excess energy out their system. I want it to help people feel free".
Jasmine Burke who worked on costume and make up in this video also shared her comments,
"I really enjoyed working on this music video! I've only ever designed costumes for plays, so getting to work on a music video was a great experience. I was really excited to put it all together and loved the bright 60's colours and styles we had picked out. Matching the colourful eye make up to the dresses was such a cute idea but a trial run was definitely needed.
I had so much fun exploring the different spaces at the Quirky Quarter (the hall of mirrors was definitely a favourite!). The team Anna put together for the project were all so lovely and I enjoyed working with everyone involved. I especially enjoyed the mini pizza party at the end!".
